DR.CANDICE JOHNSON

STRENGTHS/GIFTS COACH

Candice Johnson, EdD is a proud native of Louisville, KY and is a connector. She naturally connects people to other people and resources to help meet needs. Candice loves God’s people and wants everyone to experience the love of Christ—His best for their lives. Candice is the proud mother of Miss Kyla Brooklyn Ford.

Candice currently works as the Louisville Metro East Senior Outreach Counselor for Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority. She serves students and families in Jefferson, Oldham and Shelby counties, assisting them with the college access and financial aid process. Candice is also the Founder and Chief Encouragement Officer of VisionSPEAK Consulting, LLC, a coaching and consulting business.

Candice is a graduate of Western Kentucky University and the University of Louisville, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and Master of Arts degree in Communication, respectively. She earned her Doctor of Education in Leadership from Spalding University.
Candice is also a member of the Igniters Mentoring experience with Kingdom Driven Entrepreneur and recently completed the Master Dream Academy.Above all, Johnson is a follower of Jesus Christ and is humbled to use her God-given gifts and talents for His glory—in everything that she does.

KENNINA PORTER, FOUNDER

EDUCATION & FINANCIAL CAPABILITY COACH

Kennina Porter is the founder of KP Media Consulting LLC and the creator of The More Movement Crew. She is a Lupus survivor and wanted to share with the world how God used her fight with the autoimmune disease to lead her to her purpose. She is a self published author and  currently resides in Louisville KY.


 

She has over 12 years of experience working with youth 16-24. Her passion for working with youth stems from her work in minority recruitment at Western Kentucky University and as Program Director at YouthBuild Louisville. Currently she is the Student Success Manager for the non profit organization Evolve502 where she works with the Jefferson County Public School district, community partners, students, and families to remove barriers that keep students from pursuing a college education. 

 

Kennina is a graduate of Western Kentucky University where she received her bachelor of arts degree in broadcast communication and master of arts in adult education. 

 

Kennina has a passion for helping others discover exactly what God has created them to do and truly believes that is her purpose.

REGGIE SMITH, LPCA

MENTAL HEALTH COACH

A native of Greensboro, North Carolina who was raised in Kentucky, Reggie Smith has always had a passion for working with young people. Specializing in adolescent social and emotional behavioral disorders, he has over twenty years’ experience serving at-risk youth in the Russell and surrounding neighborhoods of Louisville, Ky. where he has dedicated himself to providing youth with wrap-around services in residential, educational, vocational training, and psychiatric hospital settings. 
 

During his many years as a community advocate in Louisville, Mr. Smith worked as a case manager at YouthBuild Louisville where he provided young adults with academic and social support while assisting them with community resources in the Smoketown area. As a member of the Kentucky Youth Advocates Council, he serves as a supporter of and a voice for young people dealing with social and emotional barriers as well as with the resulting conditions of anger, depression, anxiety, family dysfunction, grief, and loss.

 

Reggie has a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health & Addiction Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands and currently works as an 8th grade Mental Health Practitioner at Thomas Jefferson Middle School. Having earned a LPCA certification in 2017, he also works with Abundant Hope Counseling and Human Development, INC as a contract therapist. 

Reggie says “I am committed to being in a position that allows me the opportunity to empower students and help ensure personal growth academically, socially, and emotionally through positive relationship building and support”. “My goal has always been to help students plant the seeds for success by removing barriers so that they are able to be productive citizens in the communities in which they live”. 

MICHAEL SPRINGER, MOTIVATIONAL SPREAKER

LEADERSHIP COACH

Michael Springer is a Louisville transplant from Douglasville, Ga. One of his most prized possessions is his family. He has a beautiful wife, Asia Springer and four amazing children that keep him grounded. Having a passion for young people, Michael has worked in Youth Development for the past twelve years. He approaches  every young person with a  very energetic and creative style that motivates, inspires, and challenges every young person he comes  in contact with. Michael believes in optimizing every opportunity in life to unlock your true potential, to become a better person.

 

He is currently a Religious Studies Major at Simmons College of Kentucky, and plans to graduate soon. Michael also serves  with a well known Non-Profit in the city of Louisville called YouthBuild Louisville. Where he helps young people to remove barriers to post secondary education and employment.      Michael's list of accomplishments goes on and will continue to grow as long as he continues to live by a quote that he is known to state daily, “There are two things in life that you will never get back once they are gone – Time and Opportunity. Take advantage of them both!".
